INTRODUCING ADAM JEPPESEN
Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 9:19AM A further addition to the forthcoming exhibition Sturiale Paper Projects 2 will be the Danish photographer Adam Jeppesen.
Adam Jeppesen (DK), born 1978, is one of the most talented Danish photographic artists. In 2008 Jeppesen’s series Wake was published by Steidl, and he has been nominated for Börse Photography Prize 2009 and KLM Paul Huf Award 2009. Jeppesen is represented at The Danish Arts Foundation, The National Public Art Council Sweden, The National Museum of Photography, Denmark, and at several private collections. Jeppesen has a number of exhibitions behind him, both in Denmark and abroad, and in 2012 his newest series will be presented at the National Museum of Photography in Copenhagen.
Adam Jeppesen has become known, over the past decade, for a body of work that is both meticulously edited and nakedly diaristic. The artist’s distinctive style, which crystallized in his first major monograph, Wake (Steidl, 2008), located a space in between documentary and dream.
